MFM Daily Devotional 19th October 2020 Today Message written by Pastor D.K Olukoya

TOPIC: I SHALL NOT BE FRUSTRATED

Fire Scripture: Deut. 28:1-15

TODAY’S OUTLINE: MFM Daily Devotional 19th October 2020

According to today’s devotional text, Moses spelt out clearly what blessings and curses are. We must understand that we either enjoy God’s blessings or suffer curses. There is no neutral ground. We have two opposite things: blessings and curses.

I counsel you to read the whole of Deuteronomy 28. The blessings that are listed there are exaltation, health, prosperity, productiveness, victory, favour, etc. The curses are humiliation, mental and physical sicknesses, family breakdown, poverty, defeat, oppression, failure and disfavour.

Although the curses are more than the blessings, a single blessing can cancel almost all the curses. A curse is an invisible barrier. It can keep people from receiving what God has for them. For example if God carries something and says, “take”, and the person is unable to receive it, it is most probably because the person is under a curse.

A curse can keep somebody from receiving physical healing, financial blessings, salvation, academic success or even having a happy marital life. Somebody who is under a curse would not see God’s blessings at all, because curses are vehicles of supernatural power, can control their targets from generation to generation and blindfold them from having access to their divine blessings.

Curses are the opposite of blessings. A person working under a curse will be struggling against something that he does not understand

He would neither be able to overcome it nor would he be able to master it. He could be very hard-working and might even plan very well, but just at the verge of success, something goes wrong and everything scatters. You must deal with the problem of frustration and confusion today.

Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 4:18 “And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Motivational Quote: When you are a channel of blessing to others, the channels of your own blessings shall remain open.

Prophetic Word: The voice of the enemy shall not prevail over your life, rather you shall disgrace them.

HYMN – Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!

1. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise toThee:
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

2. Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore Thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and Seraphim falling down before Thee,
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, holy, holy!
Though the darkness hide Thee,
Though the eye of sinful man
Thy glory may not see;
Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee,
Perfect in power, in love and purity.

4. Holy, holy, holy!
Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name,
In earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
– Bishop Reginald Heber
