Message: Open Heaven Teens 17th April 2022 (Easter Sunday Devotional)
When Jesus was crucified, the devil must have been happy thinking he had won the battle. On the third day however, Jesus rose from death and is alive for ever more. One thing that I love so much about Jesus resurrection and ascension into Heaven is that the Holy Spirit was sent to us. If you know me well, you will know that I love the Holy Spirit. Without Him, a Christian is powerless.
The Holy Spirit also reveals secrets to us. In addition, He empowers us to perform miracles just as Jesus did during His earthly ministry. Jesus’ resurrection also earned Him a seat at the right hand of the Father (Romans 8:34) where He intercedes on our behalf at all times. Therefore, a backslidden believer can return to the throne of grace and obtain mercy, no matter how far he had gone.
Another good thing about Jesus resurrection is the assurance of a place in Heaven. Any believer who does the will of God will have a mansion in Heaven (John 14:3 ).
