TODAY’S TOPIC: PAID FOR THE NATURAL
SCRIPTURE: “2. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 9. And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.” (Exodus 2: 2, 9)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Pharaoh’s daughter offered to pay Moses’ mother to nurse Moses. A woman was going to be paid to nurse her own child. A woman was going to be paid to do something that was already natural for her to do. She didn’t need a special skill or even preparation to nurse her child. She already had all it took to do same. She was going to be paid for something that came naturally.
Friend, in 2023, you will be paid for something that is natural to you. You will be paid to do something that you have done free of charge in time past. You will be paid for just showing up to do what you have always done. You will receive resources through the same skills that never fetched you money in time past. You will receive resources through the same activities that are just a hobby for you. You will be paid to do your own thing.
Moses’ mother already had the natural endowment to feed a child at the time she was hired by Pharaoh’s daughter to nurse her own son. It was something she could do without special preparation. It was something she didn’t need help to accomplish. It was not meant to fetch her money, but it did. Hear me as I hear the Lord: even the things that should not fetch you money, this year, they will fetch you huge money.
This year, you will be needed. Your abilities will attract the attention of kings. What you have always done without being paid, will attract global recognition from high places. Your natural endowments will be needed by kings. The skills you have used for free in time past will bring you huge money this year. This year, your previously dormant gifts will bring you huge resources. You may have done it for free last year, but it will pay you this year.
Welcome to that season where you will shine on all sides, from every capacity that was once dormant. Welcome to that season where you will be paid to do what is natural to you.
Deuteronomy 8: 18 says: “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Declare With Me: In 2023, I will be paid to do what is natural to me; my dormant skills will yield finances, in Jesus’ name!
