Scripture Union SU Daily Guide 21st February 2022 Message

Compare the main concerns of Jesus Christ and His disciples. For the second time, He was warning them to be prepared for His death. They chose to push away that uncomfortable thought from their minds. It was more important for them to decide who would be team captain under Jesus Christ as team manager. Jesus Christ used a child as an object lesson for them, (v.47). See how he explains this further in Matthew 18:3‐4). Denominational differences What do you think of people who call themselves Christians but do not belong to your own group?

How about those other denominations where people worship Christ in a very different way from your own? Do you judge the faith of individual Christians on the basis of their denomination? Then you need to learn the same lesson which Jesus Christ teaches His disciples here, (v.20). Always remember that on the Day of Judgment, God will not ask about the denominations or churches to which we belong but whether or not we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

Practice/Word Application
Thought: Jesus is able to live comfortably with people you and I cannot stand. After all, He does the same with us in spite of our failings!
• Any new insight or reinforcement of what you already know?

Closing Prayer
• Help me, Lord, to learn that greatness means humble service in your kingdom.

Offer a prayer of faith in line with
Psalms 84:11; Leviticus 6,7, John 3
