Bible Verse of the Day October 24, 2026: 1 Peter 5:7

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, KJV)

Meaning of the Verse

This short verse gives both an instruction and a reason. We are told to hand our worries to God, and we are told why we can: He genuinely cares about us.

“Casting all your care upon him”

“Casting” means throwing something off yourself onto another. It is a deliberate act. “All” includes the big worries and the small ones.

“For he careth for you”

The reason is God’s heart. He is not irritated by your concerns. He cares about you personally and in detail.

Context

Peter wrote to believers facing pressure and suffering. Just before this verse, he urges them to humble themselves under God’s mighty hand. Casting our care on Him is a form of humility, because it admits we cannot carry everything alone.

How to Apply It Today

• Name your biggest worry out loud and give it to God in prayer.
• Each time it returns, repeat, “I have given this to You.”
• Share your burden with a trusted friend who can pray with you.

Short Prayer

Father, I cast my cares on You because You care for me. Take what I cannot carry and give me Your peace. Amen.
