Meaning of the Verse

David calls us to worship that is both generous and sincere. We give God what He is worth, and we come to Him with a clean and reverent heart.

“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name”

God’s name stands for His character: holy, faithful, powerful and loving. Giving Him glory means honouring Him for who He is, not only for what He does for us.
