OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, I request that you help me to encounter you as I meditate on your word.

Allotment of the conquered land west of Jordan to the remaining nine and half tribes of Israel continued. Comment on the method used in sharing the land in vs.1-2 and why (cf. Act 6:5)? Election and assigning of duties in the Christian family must be done in transparency and fairness to eliminate any murmurings.
Also, in chapter 14:3-15 and chapter 15:1-19, we can see that allotments were made with clearly spelt out boundaries, resulting in a good legal title document. Some people acquire land or similar property without a sound title document to secure such acquisitions against internal and external trespassers.
In 14:9, Caleb’s exceptional allotment is given primarily because of his wholehearted commitment to the Lord (see Numbers 13:1-14:25). Faithfulness is profitable. Caleb’s demand for land points to the nature of the covenant with God. He was granted the right to the land in the first place because of his faithfulness (vs.7-9) but now he must drive out the mighty Anakims and put his faith to action (14:12).
He promptly did that and possessed his inheritance (15:13-17). These enemies are the same giants who instilled fear in the hearts of the ten spies and caused all, except Joshua and Caleb, to perish in the wilderness (see Hebrews 3:14-19).

‣ All plans to strangulate our economy thus bringing about suffering for the citizens will fail.
‣ The National leaders will have divine encounters with God that will lead to their salvation or create his fear in them; that God’s counsel alone will stand.
‣ Revival in the Church and they will be burdened with passion for winning souls and discipling them.
‣ All our leaders at the National, Regional, Area, Zonal and Group levels; for divine direction, guidance, provision, protection and fulfillment in the work of the Ministry
‣ God to raise men to support the projects, programs and administrative work at all levels.
