Daily Devotional October 20, 2026: His Grace Is Sufficient for You

Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

When You Feel You Have Nothing Left

By Tuesday, many of us have already used up our energy, patience and confidence. Paul knew that feeling. He asked God three times to remove a painful struggle, which he called a “thorn in the flesh.” God did not remove it. He gave Paul something better: His grace.

What the Verse Teaches

Grace Is Enough

God did not say, “Try harder.” He said, “My grace is sufficient.” Whatever you are facing today, His grace is not too little, too late or too limited.

Weakness Is Where Power Shows

“My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Our limits are not obstacles to God. They are the place where His power becomes visible.

Honesty Opens the Door

Paul did not hide his struggle. He prayed about it openly and learned to boast in his weakness, not because weakness is good, but because Christ’s power rested on him there.

Reflection Questions

• Where am I trying to look strong instead of asking for help?
• What “thorn” have I been asking God to remove, and what might He be offering instead?
• How has God’s grace carried me before?

Today’s Action Step

Name one area where you feel weak. Say aloud, “Lord, Your grace is enough for this.” Then ask one trusted person to pray with you about it.

Closing Prayer

Father, I admit that I cannot do everything on my own. Thank You that Your grace is enough. Let Your strength rest on me today, especially where I feel weak. Amen.
