Jude proceeded to exhort the believers to remain faithful and loyal to Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord and to persevere in the face of trials. He reminds them of an earlier prediction of Jesus’ apostles which warns about what would happen in the last days (see 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3-4). Read vs.18-19 again and note the characteristics of the false teachers and their agenda.
Note Jude’s counsel for believers to successfully combat prevailing false teachings including:
(i) using sound Bible-based doctrines to build on the foundation of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ;
(ii) maintaining a prayerful life;
(iii) living a life that would constantly win God’s approval (vs.20-21). See others in vs.22-23.
Jude ends his short letter by committing his readers to the awesome God who alone can keep us from falling and before whom we shall all appear in judgment – a subtle but powerful reminder of the importance of remaining faithful to God always.

►The SU pension Board for ensuring that Regions and Areas remote their staff’s contributory pension as at when due.
PRAY FOR:
►Areas and Regions will faithfully remit their staff’s contributory pension to the appropriate quarters
►Wisdom for SU to choose the right pension scheme
►The success of the investment of the SU Retired staff.
