Today’s Topic: Show Mercy

Today’s Word
Every person has been hurt. We’ve all had people who took advantage of us, who didn’t keep their word, who were unkind and rude. You can’t live without wrongs being done to you. The question is, how do you respond? Don’t take the easy way out and let your emotions rule you and try to pay them back. There’s no satisfaction in being vindictive and trying to get revenge. You may be happy for a day, but the bitterness will come back.
As long as you use your power to be vindictive and prove your point, you’ll get stuck. We all make mistakes and need mercy. If you want to see real lasting joy, be kind to people when there’s no reason. If you want to lie down at night in peace, show mercy when you have the advantage. If you want real fulfillment, real contentment deep down in your spirit, lift someone up when they pushed you down. The way to pass the test is by being good to those that have done you wrong. You’re showing God He can trust you.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for showing me Your mercy, Your kindness, and Your goodness over and over when I didn’t begin to deserve it. Help me to have a heart that is free from being vindictive. Help me to forgive and to do good to those who have done wrong. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
No matter what you may be facing, God promises to be your refuge. You can come boldly into His house and cast your burdens on Him. You have come to the place where you will find refuge!
God said in Isaiah, “He will pay you back double for the unfair things that have happened.” If you’re going to see the double, you have to know that God is going to make it up to you. It may be unfair, but God is a just God. He saw what happened. He knows who hurt you, what you lost, what you’re struggling with. He’s not just going to bring you out; He’s going to bring you out better.
The running out is a sign that running over is coming. You may feel like you’re running out of strength today, you’re weary from everything that’s going on. Get ready; running over strength is coming: strength that you’ve never felt, energy like you’ve never seen. You’re running out of resources, business has slowed down. Get ready; running over resources are headed your way.
You’re running out of favor, not getting any good breaks, stuck in your career. But because you honor God, running over favor is coming, running over blessing, running over opportunities. That means you have so many opportunities you can’t take them all. You have to choose which ones you want.
