This part of scripture emphasizes the truth that we should stay sexually pure. The unmarried should stay sexually pure (Deuteronomy 22:13-21,23-29) and so must the married (Deuteronomy 22:22). From this passage, take note of the different marriage violations and their punishments. God created sex only to be enjoyed by those who are married. Any misuse of sexual pleasure attracted severe consequence. The gravity of the punishment which some may consider too harsh, only shows how greatly displeased our God is with sexual immorality.

Even though immorality does not attract the death penalty in our law courts today, many men and women have passed the death sentence on themselves with sexual sin. This is reflected in the number of people suffering and dying from sexually transmitted diseases. The world may be trying to dodge the issue by promoting the so-called ‘safe sex’ and making abortion readily available and encouraged, but God’s standard remains the only guarantee against such death. We shall therefore be wise to enlist God’s help to keep us pure and so enable us to decisively deal with lust any moment it shows up.

•The sustenance of the existing Bible Clubs in all the primary schools, neighbourhood and pilgrim groups.
•More dedicated Children workers to join the team of workers.
•Effective leadership in all the school and youth groups.
•All members of the school groups to be diligent in their studies and have the grace to shun all forms of vices, especially exam malpractices.
